What Multi-State Itineraries means to ag employers

Multi-State Itineraries in the H-2A program refer to a planned route of work that spans multiple states, allowing agricultural employers to hire H-2A workers to perform labor across different locations. These itineraries must involve contiguous states, meaning each state on the itinerary shares a border with at least one other state on the route. Employers must ensure that all workers covered by the application perform labor along the same planned route, even if they are assigned to different contracts within that route. If the itinerary involves non-contiguous states, separate applications for Temporary Employment Certification are required.
